Net-shape aluminium LED heat sinks, garden & outdoor luminaire bodies and flame-proof fittings — cast, machined and coated under one ISO 9001:2015 roof. We engineer dense, leak-tight castings that pull heat away from the LED and last in the field.

Why die-cast aluminium

Built to move heat, not just hold it

An LED converts a large share of its drive power into heat, and junction temperature decides both light output and service life. The heat sink has to conduct that energy out efficiently — which is exactly where pressure die-cast aluminium earns its place over plastics and steel.

  • High thermal conductivity. Aluminium spreads heat away from the LED far faster than steel or filled plastics, keeping junction temperatures in check.
  • Net-shape fins. Tall, thin, closely-pitched cooling fins are cast directly into the part — surface area you could not machine cost-effectively.
  • Cost at volume. Once tooled, each shot reproduces the same geometry repeatably, so unit cost drops sharply as quantities rise.
  • Durability. A cast aluminium body resists outdoor exposure, vibration and thermal cycling better than pressed or moulded alternatives.

The right grade for the job

Heat sinks and luminaire bodies reward fluid, thin-section alloys that fill intricate fins and stay leak-tight outdoors. We cast the full BS 1490 LM-series — these are the grades we reach for most.

A heat sink only performs if it mates flat to the LED board and resists the environment it lives in. We complete every part in-house, so it ships finished, inspected and ready to assemble.

  • CNC machining of mounting faces, bores and tapped holes brings each casting to final tolerance for a flat thermal interface. More on our CNC machining page.
  • Shot blasting plus powder or primer coating gives a clean, durable, corrosion-resistant surface for outdoor and industrial fittings.
  • Stage-wise inspection to ISO 9001:2015, with material and dimensional documentation and certificates of conformance on request.

Black or specified RAL coatings, masking of sealing faces and leak considerations are all confirmed against your part and drawing.
